HOW TO CONVERT RECORDED SPEECH TO TEXT

You’ll find many gadgets that will record interviews and notes. You can buy recorder attachments for iPods. Some other music players have built-in recorders. Or, you can record on an old PDA.

The best solution for speech recognition is a digital voice recorder. These are designed specifically for transcription. Also, many are optimized to be used with speech recognition software. That way, you don’t need to do the work manually.

Speech recognition used to be buggy. But it has improved significantly. And you probably have speech recognition software already. You just don’t know it.

I would describe Windows XP as speech recognition ready. It can handle speech recognition. But, you need to get the speech recognition software.

Some computer manufacturers include Microsoft’s voice-recognition software. Most don’t. In that case, you can get it with Office 2003 or Microsoft Plus! for Windows XP. You can learn more on my site. Try this tip or this one.
